In scenes like the feast in Matthew's house, where Jesus tells the story of the Eight Beatitudes, and in the Sermon on the Mount, it is like seeing and hearing Jesus himself speak.
First film that I have seen with Christ's ascension.
The spirituality, gentleness, goodness and compassion that Robert Powell projects are spellbinding. In the early 2000s an Old Testament introduction and closing was made available to help contextualize the story of Jesus in the larger biblical narrative and prophetic promises related to the Messiah. While many movies made about Jesus Christ, most with out the inparation of Holy Spirit, this movie remain faithful to the Bible without personal interpretation, which remains the most fruitful Jesus movie ever made! This film is the Gospel of Luke verbatim, word for word. And could be followed by reading the gospel of John at the same time. This film is amazingly true to what Jesus must really have been like. Not die a painful early death. So, gory and bloody and horrible as depicted, it needs to be for us to even begin to understand the sacrifice made by the Father--to submit his beloved Son to such as this--because of God's love of US. In one part for example, They were singning in a garden before Jesus was arrested and crucified and seemed to make fun of the heavy emotions Jesus was probably really going through. It is what I watched on Easter one year.It shows the life of Jesus, his love and teaching. And the reason I say this because this film not only shows who Jesus was and why he came, but also because it sticks SOOO CLOSE to the Bible! The movie was not biblical, it took artistic license but that is fine with me it gives the world a reason to hunger for more. For that reason, to me, this is the greatest film about the life of Christ. a list of 8 titles The Holy Spirit of God was more evident andFantastic film. It's his eyes! Otherwise, he didn't really feel the pain and suffering and then the entire point of the crucifixion is lost. Will not disappoint. Why Ifeel this is the true depiction of the life of Jesus is because it is taken completely from the scriptures itself.
Just really bad.Fantastic, historically accurate depiction of the life of Jesus of Nazareth! Throughout the film, the casting is excellent - I think particularly of Peter, John and Mary Magdalen; but even the lesser parts are played with absolute conviction. Born on the original Christmas in the stable next door to If He were just God, God could have just come out of the clouds and speak to everyone.
This is the most relatable Jesus I've ever watched on the screen. I wish it could be shown on network T.V..This movie is so brilliant crafted in the stop motion animation world I give it a rating of 1 million stars & thumbs up. And a great chariot race!A great film. See titles to watch instantly, titles you haven't rated, etc Where I was lost now I am found comes to mind. It was illustrating his struggles, not the author questioning him. These movies about Jesus Christ often chronicle his life on earth. An all-star, large scale epic movie that chronicles the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.
Jesus was not an insecure airhead as depicted in this totally flawed film. He portrayed a Jesus with human and God-given emotions, thoughts and actions. And if we believe Jesus was the Christ, but also completely MAN, then the suffering had to be REAL. If Jesus was simply a god, and did not want anything but to be crucified, he wouldn't have wept over it, and had to work up the courage to go through with it. It is tempting to think of Him as God walking around in human form, but not really feeling frustration, anger, grief, laughter, and real temptation. A list of the best-ever films featuring Jesus of Nazareth as a main character, ordered by the Ranker community. In all honesty, from study the true horror of what Jesus endured was beyond what we saw in this movie... but I am not sure they could rate a movie that was any more accurate. They didn't believe He was the son of God.I have only watched a minuete of it and I didn't like it. (See here for a complete list of all movies featuring Jesus Christ as a character.)
Ispecially I like the comments of the evil and the answer of Jesus to those comments.King of Kings has been my most favorite movie to watch concerning the life of the Savior Jesus The Christ. Some examples are: that when Jesus was in the garden praying and he stomped on the serpent, I knew that this did not really happen. I never bought into the idea that Jesus did not plan Judas' betrayal. Imagine you having to endure everything you watch... intentionally going through every bit of the pain...and suffering...even before he was forced to carry his on cross to the spot where he would knowingly let them nail his body onto the cross before being lifted to its standing position. This helps to remind me that he knows exactly what I'm feeling because he felt it, too. a list of 182 people He is a method actor and has a strong relationship with Christ.
