Without the stories in this volume, there would be no Wonder Woman and these wholly unique works need to be experienced to be believed.Wonder Woman’s memoir acts as the catalyst for this volume’s key conflicts, but there is plenty of action to satisfy the hardened super-hero fans as well as the newcomer to the world of Wonder Woman. It's also a damn pretty book, too — Liam Sharp, Nicola Scott and Bilquis Evely all do an incredible job on art, and it looks that much better on glossy oversized pages. In addition to that there's characters like Peter Garibaldi who essentially heads Diana's political operation and can be an important part of guiding the reader through this element of the story. Booktopia has Wonder Woman, The Hiketeia Deluxe Edition by Greg Rucka. That part of the story is still well done, but it would've been much better if Rucka at least had time to blend it in with what he was already doing more naturally. So I'm just here to say that the two hardcover deluxe editions are THE way to read this run to get the most enjoyment out of it, because the arcs aren't split — all the issues are collected here in their numeric order, just like they were intended to be read in the first place. But in addition to that, Cale is used in a way where she stands in for a lot of the real-life critics of Wonder Woman who might not see her as the same figure of empowerment. Fans of Brian K.
